3 years…
With 2010 well under way now it’s interesting (to me) that for once I’ve actually got an archive of something. Most things I tend to do fizzle out and when I get an idea it dies pretty quick. Trust me if I get an idea and there is money in the bank I’ll buy a domain for it. The idea may never go further than that but some of them do.

Looking forward, and back
I’m following in Elliot’s footsteps I’m taking a look over 2008 and on in to 2009. For some reason this post has taken over month to write.
It seems one of those things I never find time to do is my own site, some regular visitors may have noticed that there have been many, many styles changes towards the end of 2008 and with 2009 well under way there are more to come.
- First off is finishing of the design, layout and extra templates.
- Moving over to AlexOlder.com
- Launch WDC 2009
- Mini WDC events
- Relaunch UnrealFans.com

Domains
If you follow me on Twitter you’ll be aware that I’ve recently moved my hosting over to (mt). I made the move after hearing from so many people how great the service was and for $20 a month it was cheap as chips and being a student the less it costs the better.

Thankfully AlexOlder.com was available so for $5 I got hold of it and set all my (mt) stuff up under it. This brought the number of domains I own up to a grand total of 9. It’s ok though, 1 of them is for a friend’s site I designed and offered to host and another is for the girlfriend’s University society.

Back on Customer Service
Some of you may remember my lengthy post about “Why Customer Service Shouldn’t be Overlooked” and for some strange reason I find myself back on the topic.
With WDC coming up I thought it high time to get some more professional business cards to throw about at the event. One reason was to get the WDC branding out there (I love those 3 cubes) and another was to promote the WDC site and my own blog as well as ways of contacting me.
Last time I ordered any type of business card it was the MOO Minicards these were great to hand out at informal events like OpenCoffee.
The reason I’m back on topic is this time my order from MOO had a problem. With most online sites where you “create” or “design” an item or product you expect to get exactly what you saw on screen. On MOO you can the messages saying you design may get cut or be blurry which is fine but you create an image which will fit on the card.
